Our flooring professionals are here to help you determine the right type of hardwood flooring for your home. We install any floor that we sell, and we'll handle the project from start to finish.

How to Install Hardwood Floors

Hardwood flooring is one of the many options we highly recommend turning to professional installation for. After we measure the room, professional installers first prepare the subfloor to ensure your home is ready for installation by making sure it is dry, flat, and free of imperfections. Before you floors are even installed, we come and perform a professional in home measure and moisture test. This step is very important because you don't want there to be moisture underneath the hardwood planks, which will cause damage over time.

Engineered hardwood comes in floating floor options. Floating floors do not need to be glued or nail down, and click together. This type of installation is quick and you can walk on your new floors the same day.

Solid hardwood needs to be nailed or glued down to a clean subfloor. We make sure to leave a gap between your floors and the baseboards to allow room for the wood to naturally expand as it adjusts to your home.

Where Can Hardwood Be Installed?

Hardwood flooring is durable and beautiful however, it is not suited for every space in your home. The most common places you can install hardwood around your home includes bedrooms, living rooms, and hallways. Engineered hardwood can be installed in places like kitchens and basements because of its stable construction.

You should avoid installing any type of hardwood in places like laundry rooms and bathrooms since those areas of your home see moisture on a daily basis.
